• 1st stop

  Square René Viviani

  We meet in Square René Viviani, a shaded square on the Left Bank with one of the best views of Notre-Dame. Its most famous resident is the oldest planted tree in Paris, a locust tree that has stood here since around 1602. It is a calm place for young guests to meet the guide and take in the cathedral across the river before the walk begins.

  Quartier Latin

  From the square we head into the Latin Quarter, following narrow medieval streets where bookshops, old facades, and small squares follow one another closely.   La Sorbonne

  We stop outside La Sorbonne, founded in the 13th century and still one of the world's oldest and most respected universities.   Square Paul-Langevin

  Square Paul-Langevin offers a green pause in the middle of the walk. The small park sits between historic university buildings, with benches, trees, and a playground that gives younger guests room to run before the next stretch. We use the stop to slow the pace, answer questions, and let the neighborhood's everyday life settle alongside its monuments.

  Jardin du Luxembourg

  Our route takes a green detour into the Jardin du Luxembourg, the garden Parisian families have claimed as their own for generations. Around the Medici Fountain we slow the pace, let younger guests stretch their legs, and trade a stretch of walking for a pause among lawns and chairs. The palace and the basin open an easy conversation about how Paris set aside space for pleasure and play, and children often remember this stop as the moment the day felt like their own.

  Arènes de Lutèce

  The Arenes de Lutece is a Roman amphitheater built around two thousand years ago, when the city was still called Lutetia. Gladiator combats and theatrical shows once filled its terraces; today the stone seats sit in a quiet park where children can explore and imagine the noise of the crowd. It is one of the few places in Paris where ancient history can be touched rather than only observed.

  Église Saint-Étienne-du-Mont

  We step inside Eglise Saint-Etienne-du-Mont, a Gothic church built between the 15th and 16th centuries. Its stained glass, carved stone, and rare rood screen reward a slow look, and the shrine of Sainte-Genevieve recalls the patron saint of Paris and the processions that once crossed this hill.   Panthéon

  We finish at the Pantheon, begun in the 18th century as a church and now a national mausoleum. Admission is included, so the group walks straight in and closes the tour beneath the dome.
