We meet under the Ombrière, the mirrored canopy on the Quai de la Fraternité, with the harbor opening in front of us. Boats, gulls, and the row of facades along the quay give children plenty to point at, and we use the first minutes to look around together before setting off toward the Opéra.

Full Description
Marseille tells its story in layers, and this private two-hour walk follows them from the Vieux-Port to the Cathédrale de la Major. We keep the pace comfortable for children and turn the route into a series of games, small challenges, and stories, so the city stays lively for curious young guests without turning the visit into a lesson.
We start under the Ombrière, the mirrored canopy on the Quai de la Fraternité, with the harbor and its boats in front of us. A short walk brings us to the Opéra de Marseille, then to rue Saint-Ferréol and rue d'Aubagne for the Marché des Capucins in Noailles, where stalls of spices and produce fill the street. The market is at its best in the morning and is open from Monday to Saturday.
From the market we reach La Canebière and walk down toward the port, stopping at the Palais de la Bourse and then at the Hôtel de Ville along the Quai du Port. Each stop gives us something to look for together, from carved facades to the details children notice first.
Place de Lenche opens the way into Le Panier, the oldest quarter, where lanes, stairways, and small squares follow one another up to Place des Moulins and the courtyard of La Vieille Charité. We close the walk at the Cathédrale de la Major, with its bands of light and dark stone and the sea close by.
The tour is private from start to finish, led by a guide who works with families and adapts language, pace, and level of detail to the ages in the group. Pickup at hotels, the port, the train station, or the airport is available on request at an extra cost, and we lead the tour in English, Italian, Spanish, French, or German.
